Lupa Masa, translating into Malay as ‘forget time’ are unique experiences found off the beaten track in the heart of Sabah’s local communities. Our accommodations are constructed and run by passionate travelers and locals who have an in-depth knowledge of the wildlife, flora and inhabitants of their surroundings and aim to share it with like minded or curious travelers from around the globe.
Our original site Lupa Masa Rainforest Camp, is located on the borders of Mt Kinabalu National Park, in primary Borneo jungle. An authentic jungle experience with accommodation in open air bamboo huts, hydro-electricity and basic facilities. All meals are vegetarian and included in the rates.
Our newest site Lupa Masa Beach Home Stay, lies at the tip of Borneo in the serene village of Kudat. Staying in a traditional longhouse right on the beach guests have the chance to see turtles hatching at certain times of the month, or can take advantage of the remote beach and relax the days away. This is a homestay with all meals provided in the rates.
